![]() Shortly after the crime, police collected blood samples from a vehicle belonging to OJ Simpson. The DNA profile was produced from a bloodstain found near the ankle of one of the socks. ![]() Police collected a pair socks from OJ Simpson’s property that when tested revealed a DNA profile consistent with Nicole Brown Simpson. This glove was saturated in blood and tests revealed DNA belonging to both Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. The matching glove was found behind OJ Simpson’s guest house. Accordingly, the weight to be given to this evidence is limited. However, it is important to note that the portion of the mixed profile that was consistent with OJ Simpson’s DNA consistent of a single common allele. However, three samples taken by investigators produced a mixed DNA profile consistent with that of one or both victims and OJ Simpson. The glove was saturated in the blood, most of which was found to belong to the victims. Tests of a right-hand glove found at the crime scene also produced DNA profiles consistent with OJ Simpson being present at the scene. ![]() However, tests of three blood stains from the rear gate and five drops of blood on Bundy drive (a walkway leading away from the crime scene) produced DNA profiles consistent with OJ Simpson. Almost all of the blood was found to have come from Nicole Brown Simpson and Goldman. Accordingly, there was a large amount of blood at the crime scene. The murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman was a violent crime.
